With nearly 12 years of construction experience, Project Executive Robyn Schoch’s expertise is project management. A practitioner of flexibility management, she is highly motivated and driven to meet the challenges unique to every project.
Q: What is the most rewarding part of your job?
A: As I grow in my career, my job becomes less about constructing buildings and more about building the people that construct the buildings. That’s honestly the best part. Seeing your team, which becomes your family, grow and work together to accomplish something great is the best reward I could ever ask for.
Q: Why are you proud to work for Swinerton?
A: Swinerton is best in class, period. I’m so proud to work for a company that truly values its people.
Q: What does your typical work day look like?
A: It varies drastically on a day by day basis and includes anything from working on estimates to visiting our project sites to spending time with our partners inside and outside of our organization. There’s never a dull moment within the construction industry.
Q: What are some of the highlights of your work?
A: Building relationships outside of the organization whether it be with clients, designers, subcontractors, etc. It’s so rewarding to deliver successful projects together and have fun doing it. Life is about making an impact in all the areas your passionate about.
Q: What makes now an exciting time to work in Atlanta?
A: Atlanta is a booming market with so many opportunities. Having gone to college here and spent my entire career in Atlanta, seeing my peers grow within the industry while building a community we’re all proud of is hands down one of the best parts.
Q: How do you spend your free time? And how do you wish you spent your free time?
A: I spend most of my free time with my family. We love to eat, drink wine, travel, ski, wakeboard, lift weights, laugh, and just enjoy life together.
Q: Anything else should people know about you?
A: I was an Olympic boxer years ago and got to be debuted in Sports Illustrated when I was 18 years old!
