Tenant fitout begins at Genesis North Tower, the tallest building in South San Francisco

With the Genesis North Tower curtainwall nearly completely wrapped up the building, the newest star of South San Francisco is turning heads as you drive by on Highway 101. Swinerton teams are now commencing the tenant fitouts on this 22-story life-science building that is scheduled to be complete by fall 2018. With the installation of the crown roof Genesis stands at 320 feet high, making it the tallest building in South San Francisco. Walk-through tours for potential clients and tenants are now taking place, and the site is averaging three to five tours a week.

Currently the project team is installing structural steel beam stiffeners at the ground floor to cancel out vibration for the planned fitness center for tenant use on the second level. Also, the elevator shafts continue to go up rapidly through the building in preparation for commissioning in a few months. Lastly, work at the 4th floor balcony is underway and is a unique aesthetic feature of Genesis.

With all of the current success on this project on both the core and shell and special projects sides, the Bay Area Division looks forward to continuing their work with all of the project team partners including the City of South San Francisco.
