Amazon officials have landed a major permit related to the build-out of space the company will temporarily take in downtown’s SunTrust Plaza. The permit is valued at $2.41 million, with Amazon taking floors 2, 3, 10 and 11. Swinerton Builders will handle the work at 401 Commerce St.
The move comes as Seattle-based Amazon preps to establish a major office presence at the unfolding 11-acre Nashville Yards with a Center for Excellence. That effort bring an estimated 5,000 jobs and represent a $230 million investment.
