Swinerton celebrated the concrete topping off for the Los Angeles International Airport’s (LAX) Intermodal Transportation Facility-West (ITF-West) on October 17, 2020.  The last 600 of 72,000 cubic yards of concrete were poured to complete the fourth level deck and concrete superstructure ahead of schedule.  The groundbreaking was just a little over a year ago on July 12, 2019.

The 1.75 million-square-foot facility is a new four-story parking structure that will offer approximately 4,300 parking stalls and a mobility hub located east of LAX.  It will provide travelers new options for pick-up and drop-off as well as parking.

Swinerton employed VD&C and BIM services to facilitate the construction, coordination, scheduling, phasing, and closeout of the work.
