Swinerton is providing general contracting services for the modernization of the Madera High School Fieldhouse and Stadium, transforming a 1970s athletic facility into a modern, code-compliant complex serving students, faculty, and the community. The project team will demolish the stadium’s existing bleachers, press box, concessions, and restrooms, replacing them with five new buildings totaling over 21,000 square feet.

Key facilities include the 3,600-square-foot west wing with concessions, restrooms, and training areas; 3,600-square-foot east wing featuring locker rooms and storage; 2,800-square-foot, two-story press box with new ADA elevator access; dual ticket booths; and an 11,500-square-foot fieldhouse providing expanded locker and training facilities.

Site improvements encompass basketball court modernization, new perimeter fencing, scoreboard, athletic equipment, and comprehensive fire sprinkler systems, as well as the demolition of existing artificial turf. The project team is preserving the athletic field’s existing memorial plaques and monuments while they incorporate new ADA-compliant pathways into the site. The Swinerton team is self-performing drywall, framing, doors, frames, hardware, and specialties.
