We are committed to:
Building high performing teams demands that we explore every avenue to draw the very best and brightest to our industry and develop their talents and leadership. Developing teams that are diverse in experience, background, and thought is what has kept us on the leading edge of innovation throughout our existence.
In 2020, Swinerton signed AGC’s Culture of Care pledge, which affirms our commitment to a work environment that is free of harassment, hazing, and bullying. We commit to hire and pay based on skill and experience, regardless of ethnicity, gender identity, nationality, race, religion, sex, or sexual orientation. We retain high-performing employees by identifying and removing barriers to advancement. And we empower every individual to promote a culture of diversity and inclusion. You can read the full pledge text at the Culture of Care website.
Equity & Inclusion Council
In order to continue our efforts to educate our employees and encourage a more culturally inclusive environment, we established an Equity & Inclusion Council, which reports directly to the Executive Committee.
Our Vision Is:
A workplace that mirrors the diversity of the communities in which we work, at all levels of the organization.
An environment where all feel safe, respected, and able to thrive, and Swinerton leverages the strengths everyone has to offer.

BUSINESS RESOURCE GROUPS (BRGS)
Business Resource Groups (BRGs) are designed to assist voluntary, employee-led groups with discussions about diverse topics, creating a culture of inclusion, and supporting innovative ideas. It is Swinerton’s hope that providing this network to employees will lead to more diverse teams within the organization and engage all employees—even those who don’t identify with the group.
BRGs assist in the development of companywide initiatives, processes, and programs. Members of the BRG also provide input for memberships and event sponsorships.
BRGs can help employees develop leadership skills, interface with potential allies and sponsors, and advance their careers. BRGs also give leaders an opportunity to identify talent and plan for succession.
Today, Swinerton has a Black Community BRG (BCBRG) and WinS, a Women’s BRG. Additional BRGs are in development.
