Post Falls pickleball club slated to open in June
The Flying Pickle’s 24-court venue to be located next to Selkirk Sport
A large industrial building at 140 N. Beck Road in Post Falls is being further transformed into a pickleball destination, as plans call for a 24-court indoor club alongside Selkirk Sport’s pickleball products manufacturing and fulfillment center.
The Flying Pickle, a pickleball club franchise based in Meridian, Idaho, will occupy about 85,000 square feet of the 163,000-square-foot building at The Pointe at Post Falls, says franchisee co-owner Alana Ashby.
Coeur d’Alene-based Selkirk Sport occupies the remaining space in the building and will partner with the club by selling its products through the retail pro shop, says Ron Clough, senior project manager of the pickleball equipment manufacturer. Selkirk Sport moved into the building when construction was completed in 2023.
The property is part of a two-building industrial center at 140 and 150 N. Beck Road. The neighboring 240,000-square-foot building at 150 N. Beck remains vacant and is owned by Utah-based Wadsworth Development Group and their equity partner, says leasing agent Darren Slackman, of Black Commercial Inc., in an email to the Journal.
Tenant improvements on the $5 million project begin next week, and Ashby says she anticipates opening the facility by June.
Amenities at the club will mirror those at the Flying Pickle’s Meridian club but on a larger scale, Ashby says. The Post Falls facility will include a kitchen and bar, a mezzanine for corporate events, and cameras on every court so players can record and review their matches.
