Swinerton is delivering preconstruction and construction services for the City of Santa Rosa’s Hearn Community Hub – Phase One, a design-build civic campus featuring a new wood-frame fire station and a mass timber library, along with extensive site improvements.
This transformative project replaces the existing fire station and library with new facilities for public safety, enrichment, and connection, including parking, sidewalks, roadways, sewer and storm systems, and public plazas.
- Fire Station #8 (9,915 SF): Includes an emergency operations center, conference rooms, three drive-through apparatus bays, support spaces (shop, storage, clean-up, turnout room), janitorial facilities, public lobby, dayroom, laundry, private sleeping quarters with restrooms, mechanical/electrical/communications rooms, and multiuse emergency operations spaces above the fire operations.
- Roseland Regional Library (12,475 SF interior and 3,000 SF exterior): Features administrative and public areas, collections and archives, multipurpose space, children’s programming areas, and public restrooms.
Together, these facilities will serve as a vital community hub, enhancing public safety and access to educational resources.
