Swinerton provided general contracting services for the new dual fire and police facility for Johns Creek Fire Department Station and Police Substation #63. This $7.8 million project replaced an existing station, doubling its capacity to 14,675-square-feet. Located on a 2.11-acre site within Newtown Park, just a half-mile from its previous location.

This project features a 13,891-square-foot station house and a 766-square-foot storage facility. Key elements include two double-depth bays for fire trucks, work areas, a kitchen and dining room, day room facilities, bunk rooms, an apparatus bay, a gear maintenance area, and an outdoor staging area. The project also involved relocating a historic tree that has become a city monument honoring a fallen firefighter from the old firehouse to the new site.

The project is designed by Kennesaw-based designer, CROFT & Associates. Additionally, Swinerton’s self-perform services were utilized for fixture installation and material purchasing.
