Swinerton is providing general contracting services for the Denver Public Schools’ new STEM two-story pre-kindergarten through eighth grade school. The new school will include classrooms, inquiry zones, full-service kitchen, a theatrical stage, art rooms, teacher collaboration spaces, and a gymnasium. The surrounding 11-acre site area will feature play fields, playgrounds, parking, and hardscapes. The building structure will be a combination of pre-cast exterior, structural steel, and mass-timber in the commons and gymnasium. The project is designed to accommodate future expansions for additional schooling capacity.
