Swinerton partnered with Grady Hospital to deliver two design-build projects supporting ongoing campus upgrades and expansion efforts. The first, a temporary fourth-floor genetics lab, enabled continued DNA research operations while Grady advanced construction of its permanent facility. Located within an active hospital environment, the project required meticulous coordination with hospital staff, including the use of back-of-house elevators and loading docks to streamline material deliveries. Infection Control Risk Assessment (ICRA) measures—such as hard barriers, HEPA filtration, air scrubbers, and negative air machines—were implemented to maintain a safe and controlled environment.

In parallel, Swinerton renovated administrative office spaces to better support the needs of executives and staff. The scope included selective demolition, interior upgrades, and reconfiguration of layouts to create a more functional, modern workplace. Swinerton self-performed drywall and acoustical ceiling tile (ACT) installation and completed demolition activities during off-hours to minimize disruption to daily operations.
