Swinerton, California’s premier general contractor with 135 years of experience, proudly announces the promotion of Jennifer (Jenn) Lauritzen to Vice President and Division Manager of Swinerton’s Silicon Valley Division. With a career spanning over two decades, Lauritzen brings a wealth of experience and a passionate commitment to propelling Swinerton’s growth and success in Silicon Valley.

Residing in San Jose, CA, Lauritzen joined Swinerton in 2005 and steadily progressed through various roles, contributing her expertise to significant healthcare, technology, commercial office, and public works projects. Her leadership skills, enthusiasm for team-building, and unwavering dedication to the Silicon Valley Division and the South Bay region have been instrumental in positioning Swinerton as the preferred builder in the community.

Terry McKellips, Senior Vice President and Region Manager, expresses confidence in Lauritzen’s leadership, stating, “Jenn has a proven track record of delivering high-quality work to our clients, coupled with great enthusiasm for our employee-owners at Swinerton. Her focus on developing people aligns perfectly with Swinerton’s values, making her the right person to lead Silicon Valley.”

Swinerton, a trusted partner in the Silicon Valley market for over two decades, maintains an office in Santa Clara, CA. The division is engaged in various projects, from ground-up buildings to tenant improvements and renovations. With a keen focus on community well-being, the team is actively completing nearly $200 million in construction in the area, such as the Milpitas Unified School District Performing Arts Center, multiple projects with Stanford University and Stanford  Health Care, and low-cost rental housing in Salinas Valley, West Valley Community College Learning Resource Center, confidential fintech institutions, and the Santa Clara Unified School District Agnews campus.

Under Lauritzen’s leadership, the Silicon Valley Division aims to strengthen its position to be the first-choice builder in the South Bay. The team is committed to fostering collaborative and inspiring environments for employees, clients, and business partners, guided by Swinerton’s core values of ownership, leadership, integrity, passion, and excellence.

In addition, Lauritzen and the Silicon Valley Division remain deeply involved in community-focused initiatives. Swinerton employees volunteered nearly 100 hours to support Silicon Valley non-profits in 2022. Notably, the partnership with Rebuilding Together – Silicon Valley has seen annual contributions exceeding $10,000 since 2014, accompanied by volunteer projects to repair homes for low-income seniors. The 2023 project involved repainting a senior Veteran’s home in Milpitas, providing a renewed sense of joy and comfort to individuals facing challenges due to disabilities.

Expressing her excitement about the new role, Lauritzen shares, “One of my passions in life is aligning and inspiring teams. I am thrilled by the opportunity to collaborate, challenge, and empower our Silicon Valley team members to maximize their potential and deliver spaces that truly make a difference in our communities.”

As Swinerton continues to evolve its presence in Silicon Valley, Lauritzen’s leadership promises to guide the division to new heights, reinforcing its legacy as a builder committed to excellence, integrity, and community impact.
