Docked in San Diego Harbor, the USS Midway is a decommissioned battleship open to the public. The Midway Museum exhibits the rich history of the Navy and Military in San Diego. The existing café in the museum was renovated and modernized to increase the visitor experience. Work included architectural upgrades to the walls, floors, counters, and finishes. Structural upgrades were also made in support. Mechanical upgrades were made to the HVAC system, which included smoke damage removal from the space. Upgrades were made to the electrical and plumbing systems; communications systems; and fire/life safety systems, inclusive of fire alarms and fire suppression. Work was performed while the museum was open to the public.
