Swinerton successfully completed a 20-month Preconstruction effort and broke ground in July, 2021 for this new five-story, 37,000-square-foot affordable housing development. Utilizing modular construction, the residential units are specifically designated for homeless Seniors and Senior Military Veterans age 62 and older. It will provide these men and women with permanent supportive housing. With 51 studio units ranging from 315 to 400 square feet, the building will feature a rooftop deck with views of the city. A two-bedroom onsite management unit will also be included. Tailored to the needs of residents, they will benefit from a wide array of health and social services located within the building. These include medical and psychiatric treatment services; counseling and advocacy; job training; intensive case management; substance use services; and client plan development. Swinerton is working closely with Silver Creek, the modular manufacturer, along with AMJ Construction Management.
