Carrie Shaeffer Named to the 2022 ACC Board of Directors

Swinerton is excited to announce that Carrie Shaeffer, Vice President and National Director of Aviation, is joining the Airport Consultants Council (ACC) Board of Directors.

“In filling this vacancy, Carrie Shaeffer will provide unique and important perspectives, particularly as ACC continues to implement its Strategic Plan, with a focus on the future of airports, advocacy, and human capital and diversity,” Pullen said in a recent press release. “We look forward to having Carrie help drive ACC’s future direction in these strategic priorities.”

Carrie was appointed National Director of Aviation in 2016. She oversees $700 million of aviation construction, sales, and marketing efforts across the nation. She ensures every client’s objectives are clearly defined and that every project has the dedicated resources and best expertise to deliver success.

Prior to joining Swinerton in 2014, Carrie managed complex construction projects across the mid-Atlantic and southern United States. She is an advocate for progressive design and construction practices that help deliver integrated solutions, greater prudence over project resources and higher rates of client satisfaction. She has held certifications with DBIA, FMI Leadership Institute, and USGBC receiving her LEED AP accreditation in the first year the certification was offered.

Carrie earned a degree in Building Construction from Auburn University, where she served on the Masters Program Advisory Council and occasionally guest lectures. Through various activities, she mentors young women interested in STEM careers, especially construction. Carrie has been married for 30 years and raised two children into delightful young adults. She’s a Formula One racing fanatic who’s happy to talk track strategy anytime.
