Q: What is the most rewarding part of your job?
A: The daily interaction with all team member internally and externally. It is so rewarding to be a part of an industry with so many diverse backgrounds and skill sets. One minute you are interacting with a craft professional in the field, and the next you are negotiating terms of a contract with an owner. This industry keeps you on your toes!
Q: Why are you proud to work for Swinerton?
A: I’ve been a member of the Swinerton family my entire professional career and it’s home. I’m proud of our culture, our core values, and the entrepreneurial spirit to always improve.
Q: What does your typical work day look like?
A: I waske up at 4am to go for a run and get to work around 6am. Then, I knock out a couple hours of me time while drafting a list of hot items. After that I take on the day, one email or phone call at a time. I try to leave the office before 5pm to ensure I get home to be with my wife and daughter before hitting the pillow before 9:30pm.
Q: What is the highlight of your work?
A: It is extremely exciting and rewarding to see the accomplishments our aviation teams have been able to do in just one year. We came into 2019 being the new General Contractor at the airport and now we are well on our way to being one of the go to contractors.
Q: What makes now an exciting time to work in the Southeast Division?
A: It is extremely exciting to see the success our Southeast Division has had in having a great start at a diversified portfolio of work from senior living, tilt up office, multi-family, hospitality, aviation, storage, and corporate interiors. We are positioned to kick off a killer 2020.
Q: How do you spend your free time? And how do you wish you spent your free time?
A: My free time is spent with my wife Ashleigh and amazing nearly three-year-old daughter Sydney! We enjoy going for long walks and running with our two dogs Pepper (5) and Bear (11 months). We would love to spend more time hiking and camping which we hope to accomplish this year.
