Swinerton Earns National Recognition for Retirement Program Excellence

Swinerton Incorporated received national honors at the 2026 PLANSPONSOR Excellence in Retirement Awards for its strong commitment to employee-owner financial well-being.

PLANSPONSOR named the company Corporate Defined Contribution Plan Sponsor of the Year in the $500 million to $1 billion category. The award recognizes organizations that strongly support participants’ financial health and long-term retirement readiness.

The recognition was the result of a detailed, competitive selection process. Principal, Swinerton’s retirement plan partner, nominated the company, which became one of five finalists in its category. Judges evaluate finalists across plan design, governance, and participant engagement. Previous recipients select the winners, making the recognition especially meaningful in the industry.

National Retirement Program Manager Lana Odabi Smith accepted the award on behalf of Swinerton at the ceremony in Nashville, TN, representing the team that oversees the company’s retirement program.
