Swinerton is honored to receive the Champions of Change Award for our continuous work with the Weingart Center. The Weingart Center is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit agency that provides homeless individuals with the basic tools necessary to stabilize their lives, secure income, and find permanent housing. The Weingart Center is a unique agency that is committed to providing homeless individuals with the basic tools necessary to stabilize their lives, secure income, and find permanent housing. They provide comprehensive wraparound services that are tailored to an individual’s needs and are designed to break the cycle of homelessness.

Swinerton has worked with the Weingart center on a number of projects from the Weingart Tower, a 19-story high-rise with 278 units, to smaller 50-unit projects with innovative construction types. Located in the heart of Skid Row in downtown Los Angeles, the Weingart Tower project is a two-tower high-rise residential development that will provide affordable and permanent supportive housing for approximately 750 individuals currently living without a home. The first of its kind in Los Angeles, the Weingart Towers will provide more than shelter. The buildings will include services, resources, and facilities designed to help individuals and families get back on their feet.
