Swinerton is proud to partner with Kaiser Permanente to host our first virtual outreach meeting for the Kaiser Permanente Watts Pavilion project. We will be discussing upcoming construction bid opportunities for interested subcontractors, vendors and suppliers covering topics such as the Project Overview, Bid Process, Prequalification, Community Engagement, Local Workforce and additional project requirements. The virtual meeting will take place on Thursday, September 10, 2020 from 10-11am.
The new Kaiser Permanente Watts Pavilion will provide the Watts, California community with a new 60,000-square-foot, three-story medical office building and will be the new home for the Watts Counseling and Learning Center (WCLC). The building will be constructed on top of the podium of a 276-stall, three-level, below-grade parking structure. The facility will offer a range of amenities to the area including medical services, counseling, and a preschool with an open-air play yard.
The WCLC is a unique community service of Kaiser Permanente Southern California. Since 1967, the Center has provided counseling, outreach, and educational services to the residents of Watts and the surrounding communities.
This Kaiser Permanente Watts Pavilion project will play a meaningful role in the revitalization of the greater Watts community, building upon Kaiser Permanente’s 50+ year presence in the area. Kaiser Permanente facilities are economic engines in the communities they are located. How they build, hire, procure, and operate can have major impacts on member and community economic opportunity.
Swinerton is honored to be Kaiser Permanente’s preferred builder for this landmark project, expanding its legacy and historical footprint in the Watts community.
