The Anita May Rosenstein Center serves as the new headquarters for the Los Angeles LGBT Center. A non-profit organization, they are the world’s largest provider of programs and services for the LGBT community. It is a landmark mixed-use development that provides critical services and housing for at-risk seniors and youth.
A four-story, 77,000-square-foot building, the center provides 100 affordable housing units for low-income LGBT seniors, 100 beds for homeless youth, and 35 units of supportive housing. It also includes youth and senior centers, a commercial kitchen to feed homeless youth and seniors, and retail space. The building has been designed to LEED Gold certification standards. A 143,000-square-foot, 350-space, two-level subterranean parking structure was also built.
